Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn is an American actress from America. Her most well-known role was Skyler on AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress in Drama Series 2013 & 2014. She also played Martha Bullock in Deadwood and Jean Ward on The Practice. Anna Gunn, born 1968 in Sante Fe New Mexico fell in Love with Acting in preparation for her first performance before moving to Ohio. She studied theatre through Northwestern University and spent a semester studying at the British American Drama Academy. Anna was working in the theatre in the Chicago area for several years prior to trying her hand at television and film roles. In 1992, Anna was offered her first big part in the role of Arden in the series of 29 episodes Down the Shore. Anna continued to be an actor in handful of TV series and movies, including Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue through the mid 1990's, when she was cast in a role that she reprised as Jean Ward in The Practice. In the mid 2000's she was placed in Deadwood as Martha Bullock for two full seasons. She was cast in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in 2008. Also, she starred in the Deadwood film and Sully. Gunn took the stage in David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers. The year 2022 saw Gunn was a part of a four-part audio-play show known as "Numbered Days". The romance with Walter White and his wife Skyler is the most prominent element of the narrative in Breaking Bad with the strained pull on their relationship and eventually its demise echoing the same storyline of Walter White's last years of his life.
